Led by our Senior Advisor, Robert Weiss, GCA provides a full range of ratings advisory services to clients who are seeking to:

• Evaluate the impact of a potential event on an existing rating;
• Update the rating agencies and/or appeal an adverse NAIC rating;
• Determine the stand-alone debt capacity of operating subsidiaries; or
• Obtain independent documentary support for the credit profile.

With the need for greater financial transparency in both debt and equity markets, GCA works with issuers to develop clear strategies for communicating their value proposition as well as operating and financial profiles to investors and rating agencies alike.

GCA provides credit rating advisory services to public or private companies seeking an independent credit assessment based on criteria utilized by Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organizations ("NRSRO's") i.e. Moody's Investor Services, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services, Fitch Ratings, DBRS Ltd and Kroll Bond Rating Agency, Inc.; as well as the Securities Valuation Office ("SVO") of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners ("NAIC").

Formerly Head of Banc of America Securities Ratings Advisory Group, Bob Weiss has successfully worked with clients across all industry sectors regarding the strategic and financial implications of a given capital structure on their credit rating in light of current and/or expected economic conditions; together with any proposed corporate M&A, recapitalization, capital management and/or going private transactions.
